The DNT 550 is a rugged water and dust-resistant hand-held terminal for the warehouse, medical, manufacturing and route automation environments. The portable DNT 550 takes a giant leap forward in integrated terminal technology with the combination of ruggedness, voice prompt capability and custom configurability. Its ergonomic design enables the user to look and "see" the screen as they scan bar-codes or key data into the device. The DNT 550 uses Wi-Fi (802.11b) RF technologies for its basic communications; has several versions of Laser Scanner that it can be configured with, and it is designed with a full DOS OS so various applications can be integrated with its basic operations.

The DNT 550 includes wrist strap and rechargeable battery.
