- Check In/Out Items: This type of application is typical of a tool crib or supply room that issues items that may be returned (tools, for example) or consumable items (e.g. toner)
- Track Work In Process: Work in process is a typical shop-floor application. It involves the tracking of production through various stages. It may also include tracking of inventory from raw materials to finished goods.
- Track Inventory in a Warehouse: A typical inventory application involves tracking the level of items that are either resold or are used in production.
- Track Fixed Assets:
Tracking fixed assets involves tracking capital assets, such as computers, furniture or equipment.
- Track Movement of Personnel: Personnel tracking can involve time and attendance or access control.
